T. M. Krishna -
Vocal “There are many good singers, but only a few are great. T.M. Krishna is one such who occupies the topmost slot. Krishna is not only an artist of great proficiency but also more significantly, one of great tact. He just does not sing but takes the listener into his confidence. With his domineering gestures, deliberate or spontaneous, he dramatizes a melody beyond its dimension, which is directly inspiring... the team sparkled with expertise, buoyancy, originality and vision. .” Hindu 2004 |

Dr.
Jayanthi Raman's GAJAMUKHA Dance Ballet of India Oregonian Review Sep 12, 2004: "As bare feet stamp and ankle bells ring, silken clad gods and goddesses transport us to the mythic world of Lord Ganesha, the Hindu god with a man's body and an elephant's head. Jayanthi Raman spent two years creating "Gajamukha" a ballet that honors Ganesha -- protector of the Universe and remover of obstacles. ... With every wrist flick, finger quake and ankle quiver the six dancers moved with precision, radiating an inner joy. Vibrant costumes of gold, burgundy, and magenta shimmered before projections of mountains, trees, stars and fire. The dancers' strength and articulation of movement produced emotionally charged images. The performers project warmth and pleasure and their rhythmic movements draw the audience onto the stage as if we're dancing with them..." |
